Mowchi Mile End Freshers Fest

On Friday 19 September, Mowchi Mile End welcomed new university students with an afternoon of community, connection and café culture. From midday until 5 pm, our flagship café at 450 Mile End Road became the ultimate Freshers’ gathering spot.

Every attendee enjoyed 50% off on all drinks, including matcha lattes, Spanish iced lattes and cold brews, while complimentary bubble-tea samples featured our signature Brown Sugar Milk Tea, Sakura Rose and Mango Yuzu flavours with premium tapioca pearls.

Spin-the-Wheel Prizes & Exclusive Merch

Students tried their luck at our spin-the-wheel challenge, winning drink vouchers, stickers and Mowchi tote bags. We also debuted limited-edition pastel ceramic cups and enamel pins inspired by our Japandi-minimalist interiors.

Oatly & Little Moons Collaboration

We were honoured to partner with Oatly, whose plant-based drinks kept everyone energised, and Little Moons, whose mochi ice-cream treats added a sweet Far East Asian flourish to the festivities.

Tooth-Gem Artist & Live DJ

One of the day’s standout attractions was a tooth-gem artist, who adorned freshers with tiny crystal designs. Meanwhile, DJ Luna Beats provided a live soundtrack of lo-fi hip-hop and chillwave, keeping the energy high throughout the event.

Serene Study & Social Lounge

For those seeking a calmer corner, our lounge area offered USB charging points, complimentary Wi-Fi and communal tables, perfect for meeting new friends, planning study sessions or simply savouring the tranquil Mowchi atmosphere.
