Mowchi Canterbury Grand Opening

On Wednesday, 13th August 2025, Mowchi officially opened its doors on Canterbury’s High Street. From the very first guests at midday, the atmosphere was alive with anticipation and excitement. The launch brought together students, families, and locals, making it a day to remember for the Kent community.

Celebration Highlights

To mark the occasion, we treated visitors to a £300 cash giveaway, offered 100 complimentary drinks, and surprised every guest with Little Moons mochi. The energy outside the store was incredible, with queues stretching along the street as people waited to experience Canterbury’s newest cafe.

Bringing Mowchi to Kent

This cafe introduces the full Mowchi experience to Kent for the very first time. Guests can enjoy carefully prepared speciality coffees and rich matcha lattes in a calm, welcoming atmosphere inspired by Far East Asian design. This new space was created to offer moments of pause in the heart of the city, a place to study, meet friends, or simply enjoy a quiet cup.

As our fifth location, Canterbury joins Mile End, East Ham, Bradford, and Lakeside in shaping the future of Mowchi. The new cafe blends Far East Asian-inspired interiors with a menu that has quickly become a customer favourite. Guests can order smooth speciality coffees and expertly crafted matcha drinks, enjoy fluffy baos and Japanese-inspired sandos, or choose from comforting rice bowls and other light bites. The fully Halal menu ensures that students, families, and food lovers alike all feel welcome.
